In the last week, two major studies published in peer-reviewed journals show new answers for treating depression. Both authored by Dr. Theodore Henderson, the results support the specific methods applied using ketamine infusions and near-infrared light. By facilitating molecular changes in the brain, these two methods have successfully treated patients suffering from symptoms of depression.
Depression is the most common psychiatric condition, and often has several causes. But these two studies give great hope to anyone suffering from refractory depression and Major Depressive Disorder, and has been particularly effective with patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI).
